About the Role

Training is a core part of the company's offering — supporting clients as they adopt Databricks, scale their data platforms, or upskill teams in Data Engineering, BI, ML, or GenAI. As Technical Instructor, you'll deliver high-quality Databricks training to data professionals across Europe, with a strong focus on virtual sessions, guiding learners through complex concepts in a structured, engaging way across sessions ranging from 4 hours to multi-day formats.

Alongside teaching, you'll help strengthen training operations — coordinating schedules, improving processes, and working closely with the internal team and Databricks to keep raising delivery standards.

About You

You have a passion for teaching and a natural ability to explain technical concepts clearly, coming from a Data Engineering, analytics, software engineering, or similar technical background. You're confident with Python and SQL, enjoy learning new technologies, and like helping others build their skills. You're comfortable holding a room — virtual or in-person — adjusting your style, and keeping learners engaged even late into a long session. Databricks expertise isn't required on day one; there's dedicated ramp-up time to learn, get certified, and prepare before your first delivery.

What You'll Do

• Deliver Databricks training across Data Engineering, BI, ML, and GenAI — primarily virtual, in English
• Coordinate schedules, prepare materials, manage training communication channels, and handle last-minute requests
• Guide learners through technical topics clearly, adapting to each group's needs
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and Databricks to strengthen the training program
• Take ownership of improving how training is organized
• Help grow virtual training capacity while maintaining consistency and quality

What You Bring

• Hands-on Python and SQL experience, comfortable coding live with learners
• Strong motivation to teach full-time, not as a side activity
• Solid presentation skills across different audiences
• Fast-learning, analytical mindset
• Patience and empathy, especially when repeating explanations
• Proactive, organized approach with confidence to own process and structure
• Teaching/mentoring/coaching experience a plus, not required
• Fluent English plus one additional language: French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, German, or Spanish
• Willingness to travel ~20%, mainly within the EU
• ML/AI project experience a plus
• PhD or research/academia background a plus
• Databricks experience a plus

Compensation & Location

Open to Medior (€50,000–€65,000), Senior (€65,000–€90,000), and Principal (€90,000–€100,000) level, determined through the interview process. Final interview is in-person; interview travel and relocation costs are not covered, and visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must already hold the right to work in the EU.
